Maybe one day we can get together and eat a bunch of caramels.

Assorted Items and Such

Wow! What a day this has been! I'm pleased and excited to say that after 8 long months of seemingly fruitless searching, I have finally found a job. I am now the new Computer Technician at Grace Community Church. This means I am the first call for computer and technical problems, as well as computer upgrades and repairs. This job has big time potential for growth and they are determined to make this a bigger and bigger deal as time goes on. Needless to say, this is a huge monkey off my back.

In other news, and because I promised Amy I would, I will post a picture of Andy's new haircut. His "bigboy haircut" we are calling it. We started with the clippers, but when the hair started falling on him, he freaked out about it. Sara had to finish up with a pair of siccors that are about as long as your thumb. Here's a before and after.

I cut my hair too, but you're not going to see a picture of that. Unless certain demands are met, I mean.

Also, here's a cool picture I took of Andy playing with sparklers during the Fourth of July.

Additionally, here is some very welcome news, although most of you probably already know this.

Let's see....anything else?? Nope.

By the way, it's 86 degrees outside, thanks to my handy Weather Channel Desktop.

All About Me

This might begin a series of posts in the "get to know me" area. I was thinking about the fact that most of you not named Sara might not know much about me. I thought it might be a good idea to do a few posts detailing all the things that make me so absolutely wonderful. You all already know that, of course, or you wouldn't be my friend. How could you resist, right? Anyway, down to business.
While having lunch with my lovely wife and my amazing son, I realized how much I loved descriptive adjectives. Actually, I realized how much I hate certain things. The fact that I was with my family is unrelated to this topic. So I'd like to begin this series of 87 posts with, "Things that Trent Hates!" Ready or not, here I go. (These are in no particular order.)

Number 1

I hate having a piece of fat or gristle in my mouth. There's nothing more disconcerting than looking at your chicken sandwich after a nice, big bite and seeing that you've masticated a piece of chicken fat. Chick-Fil-A is notorious for this. There's always one part of the filet that has the chewy, greasy chicken part on it.

Number 2

Another thing I don't like is movies that star precocious little snots who treat grown-ups like dummies. i.e.- Dakota Fanning. Click here to see her. The message boards are fun.

Number 3

Getting in the shower then realizing you are out of shampoo and/or soap after getting all wet. That sucks. Also, running out of hot water is not that great.

Number 4

This one frustrates me to no end. I hate spending 20-30 plus hours on a video game, then the ending lasts about 45 seconds. If I'm going to put that much time into a game, I want a pay-off in the end. One game that comes to mind is Final Fantasy VII. Amazing game, great story, a variety of different characters, but a really short, dissatisfying ending. We're talking about a game that takes about 40-50 hours to complete. Reward me for my effort please.

Number 5

I hate being told that I can't pay part cash, part debit/credit card. This happened to me the other day at Subway. Really? Your system is so arcane that it can't process a multiple tender transaction? This is more of an annoyance than a hate, but this post is taking a long time.

Number 6

I'm also not a big fan of throwing up. It's a very strange thing with me. I have a very strong dislike for everything vomit related.

Number 7

I hate some of my wife's music. I love my wife and she has introduced me to some good stuff, but I think some of it is really terrible. Ramsie Shick is a prime example. The only way to understand is to experience it for yourself. Check this out.By the way, Sara said that song sucks.

Number 8

And finally, The Doodlebops. Drew knows what I'm talking about. For the rest of you who don't know or don't have kids, click here. Please click and explore. I beg you.

I think that's all for today. Hope you all have gotten to know me a little bit better.
I love you all.

Proof!

Not much to say today. The last few days have been kind of slow news-wise. Anyway, last night I was doing some investigative work on the internet and came across something that is of great interest to me. I apologize for the quality, but it's the best I've been able to find so far. Here's a hint on what to look for. Look to the north-east corner of the white security guards head. Here it is.

Also, I think this is an amazing idea.

That is all.
